Estim8 senior staff members from Thailand have all visited Australia in order to better understand the client’s specific needs and to gain feedback on how to improve our service. These visits encompass office, productions and site-based reviews. The site visits are particularly important, as they provide real life exposure to what occurs on site. Many of our clients also visit our Bangkok offices, which helps bring the Australian and Thai participants closer in their understanding of how best to achieve the high level of service that both.
Estim8 Welcome New Operations Manager to Estim8
Estim8 takes both the choice of staff and their training extremely seriously. We employ qualified engineers and architects straight from university, who first undergo a rigorous evaluation as to their suitability as estimators. Universities provide them with skills in CAD, maths, plan reading and building processes and we seek out young men and women who also have innate skills in spatial ability, initiative, speed and accuracy, together with enthusiasm, dedication and a desire to provide customer satisfaction. Training takes place in several stages. Trainees undergo one-on-one training with one of our Technical/Training Managers. The first month is full time “side by side” training, followed by two months of “over the shoulder” training. He or she is allocated to a team, with the trainer continuing to be on hand and the team leader providing guidance on the specific needs of the customer whose work is being carried out. All our team members participate in regular in-house training sessions on technical and software matters. Training our team members is a full time and never ending part of our operation.

The primary shareholders of both Estim8 Co Ltd, which is a Thai registered company operating in Nonthaburi in Bangkok, and Estim8 Pty Ltd which is an Australian registered company operating in Frankston South in Melbourne, are Chris Rogers, Tawich Chatwiriyawong (Wit) and Peter Wines. As such, the support that Estim8’s clients receive is from highly experienced parties.
With almost one hundred and twenty years combined experience in timber trusses, frames and building products, Chris, Wit and Pete provide a formidable range of experience and expertise, across the spectrum of the Timber and Building Industries.
Estim8’s two Senior Technical/Training managers in Bangkok Kurt Stancombe and Decha Taweeratitham also have extensive experience, each having spent twenty-five years in the truss and frame industry. Estimators are formed into five teams, each headed by a Key Account Manager, who in conjunction with the Technical/Training managers are responsible for the quality and service provided to the clients, and the ongoing training of the individual estimators.
